Incredible Time Together (IT2)

A dignity‑centered project that gathers the “protagonist moments” of people’s lives — moments when they were most alive, most themselves, and most connected to their own story.
This project introduces a dignity-centered, concierge-style navigation model for older adults, and individuals facing cultural, linguistic, or emotional barriers.
IT2 exists to restore memory, dignity, and connection for individuals and communities who have been separated by aging, illness, cultural barriers, or the passage of time

Why IT2 Exists

There are moments in life when fear, sadness, or uncertainty become too heavy to carry alone.
Doctors can offer medication, and counselors can offer words —
but there are times when even listening to those words feels too painful.
In those moments,
I read what cannot be spoken.
I sense a person’s expression, the direction of their gaze, the temperature of their silence,
and gently decode the confusion they cannot yet put into words.
IT2 exists to hold the hearts of people who cannot speak their pain.

Who IT2 Supports

IT2 is for people who:
⋆ carry fears they cannot express
⋆ are standing still in grief
⋆ feel isolated by memory changes or cultural barriers
⋆ have lost sight of their own “protagonist moments”
⋆ struggle to face changes within their family
⋆ live between Japan and the U.S. and feel emotionally unanchored
⋆ are in situations too painful to navigate alone

How IT2 Works

I meet each person where they are.
Together, we look for the hope hidden inside their words, expressions, and quiet moments.
Through this process, I:
⋆ read the unspoken confusion reflected in their face and gaze
⋆ receive photos or fragments of memories
⋆ gently gather their “protagonist moments”
⋆ help restore the natural flow of their life
⋆ reconnect them with family, community, and themselves
IT2 is a process of rediscovering the inner strength that has always been there.

Why It Matters

There is no experience in life without meaning.
And it is said that no trial is given without the strength to overcome it.
I believe that loneliness and fear should not be numbed or avoided —
because healing often happens through connection with another human being.
IT2 is a place where an isolated heart can begin to reconnect with the world.

My Role

I serve as a concierge‑style Dignity Life Navigator —
someone who gently reads what cannot be spoken,
and helps individuals reconnect with their own dignity, memories, and direction.

Vision

The insights gained through one person’s experience
can become the strength that supports someone else.
And that shared strength can become a source of meaning —a sense of purpose — for the person who lived it.
IT2 creates a gentle cycle where individual experiences
become a gift to the community.

How to Participate

Participation can come from:
⋆ individuals
⋆ families
⋆ former clients
⋆ friends across Japan and the U.S.
⋆ community members
⋆ partner organizations

Anyone can participate in IT2 —
by sharing a photo, a memory, a moment of life,
or simply by choosing to reconnect with their own story.
